About this prompt builder
A strong prompt usually states who the model should act as (role), who the output is for (audience), voice (tone), what to do (task), background (context), what “done” means (success criteria), how to format the answer (output format), limits (constraints—multiple lines become a bullet list in the assembled prompt), and optional few-shot examples. You can also append a short response checklist so the model self-checks before answering. Non-default domain and preset add a small Meta block so the model sees which template you started from.
Presets such as Explain, Summarize, or Compare pre-fill task, format, role, audience, tone, starter context, and success-criteria guidance you can edit. If you switch presets after customizing, your edits are preserved unless the text still matched the old template defaults.
Choose a domain (for example Software and engineering, Healthcare, Legal and compliance, Education, or Marketing and growth) to load industry-aware templates for each preset—still fully editable, and still processed only in your browser.
Frequently asked questions
Does this tool send my text to a server or an AI?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your fields are assembled into one prompt string on your device; nothing is sent to our servers for generation.
What does merge-if-unchanged mean?
When you change the preset or domain, task, output format, role, audience, tone, context, and success criteria update only if they still match the previous template defaults (or are empty). If you edited them, your text is kept.
What are domain templates?
General uses versatile wording. Software, Healthcare, Legal, Education, and Marketing each swap in tailored task text, output format hints, and optional role lines for that field—without leaving your browser.
Why is Copy disabled?
Add a non-empty task first. The tool needs a main instruction before it can build a prompt worth copying.
