About this text chunker
AI chat apps limit how much text you can paste at once. When you have a long PDF export, article, or notes file, splitting it into chunks lets you work through the material in multiple messages without losing structure.
Paragraph mode keeps natural breaks when possible. Token and character modes give precise size control. Overlap repeats a few characters at chunk edges so the model still sees continuity when you paste chunk 2 after chunk 1.

Does this upload my document to a server?
No. Splitting happens entirely in your browser. Your text never leaves your device.
What overlap should I use?
A small overlap (50–200 characters) helps the model see context at chunk boundaries when you paste chunks one after another in separate messages.
